Anna Phillips has been involved in the food industry for more than 23 years having qualified as a Home Economist in 1981. She works as a freelance Food Consultant and Food Stylist, and her clients include the Rice Growers Co-operative, Australian Pork Limited, Australian Woman’s Weekly, Australian Good Taste, Kenwood, Breville / Kambrook and Houston Farm. Anna has regularly appeared on various television cooking programs over the past 20 years - including as a regular guest and seafood cooking presenter on Channel 9’s ‘Fresh’.
Throughout her career, however, seafood has been Anna’s special passion and until recently she was a regular Seafood Educator with the Sydney Seafood School. (As of May 2004 Anna will be conducting regular seafood cooking classes at the Newcastle Fishermen’s Co-operative.) In 2002, Anna co-produced and presented a BBQ Seafood Cooking Video and has also co-authored an Australian Seafood Cookbook titled: From Water to Plate - launched in October 2003 by New Holland Publishers. The first print run has currently sold out and a reprint is expected.
Anna has made recent guest appearances on Channel 7’s Hooked on Adventure with Steve Starling and Bushy, involved not only in cooking fish but catching it too. In addition to this Anna is now a regular guest on Hooked on Fishing on Radio 2.
As seafood consultant, recipe writer and food stylist, Anna is the main contributor to our ‘Quick+Easy Seafood’ series of recipe books.
